Orgasmic Birth

Orgasmic Birth Documentary

Watch this, and really allow yourself to examine how you might have been brought into the world, and how you brought your children in. Was it a joy filled, ecstatic experience? The thought that it COULD BE, is mind blowing. To sign your child into this life, instead of scream? What if this is the ultimate trauma resolution-generally? Could having an ecstatic birth wipe out the cellular genetic trauma of generations? Just a thought!

What does this do to our concept of child bearing? Even that term connotes that we must 'bear' childbirth and child rearing-survive it.

This documentary reminds me of Diamant's "The Red Tent" and again, how we have lost the sacred rites of women. Child birth is a challenge, to be sure, but watching this clip challenges us, truly, to understand what an amazing experience childbirth is, and that we can embrace it to us as an initiation, and not as something to dread.

I remember riding the contractions in a sort of blissful trance, pushing and feeling like I had gone beyond the need to breathe. I DID have an epidermal though so it was without pain. What if we all hit that place with or without medication?

In this work, I have taken people back through the TRAUMA of their own birth, the fear, the pain, the isolation and separation. So many core beliefs are coded into the cells of the physical body during this time of transition. What if we could truly make this a kinesthetic celebration? What if birthing joyously were the beginning of living joyous on this planet? Might this be a way to truly make the next 2000 years peaceful? Isn't this really about a peaceful birth? Would a peaceful birth mean a peaceful life?

And what about the other end when we exit? What if a peaceful birth echos into a peaceful exit too? Wouldn't that be amazing to follow this all the way through, see how these kids progress? And the fathers appear so involved and connected to the whole experience. I can't wait for this to be screened.
